Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Ashley Coone and Jerod Gross to the DeSoto County Board of County Commissioners, and Appoints Gabriella Passidomo to the Florida Public Service Commission

Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Ashley Coone and Jerod Gross to the DeSoto County Board of County Commissioners.  

Ashley Coone

Coone, of Arcadia, is President of Ashley Coone Consulting. Previously, she was Executive Director of the DeSoto County Chamber of Commerce and co-founded Links2Success, a nonprofit that provides free college and career readiness programs to students in DeSoto County. Coone has also served as DeSoto County Clerk of the Circuit Court and helped establish the first Boys and Girls Club in the county. She is a member of the Florida Gulf Coast University Board of Trustees. Coone earned her bachelor’s degree in business management from Florida Gulf Coast University and her master’s degree in management and leadership from Webster University.  

Jerod Gross

Gross, of Arcadia, is the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of Island Grove Ag Products and an Owner and Managing Partner of Down South Blues Corporation, a family-run blueberry farm. He is the Vice President of the Florida Blueberry Growers Association and a member of the University of Florida, Institute of Food and Agricultural Services Extension Advisory Board. Gross was named the 2019 DeSoto County School District Volunteer of the Year.

Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Gabriella Passidomo to the Florida Public Service Commission. 

Gabriella Passidomo

Passidomo, of Tallahassee, is an attorney in the Regulatory Analysis Section of the Florida Public Service Commission’s Office of the General Counsel. As a student, she spent time as a legal intern in the United States Department of Energy’s Office of the Assistant General Counsel for Electricity and Fossil Energy and as a law clerk for the Florida Solicitor General in the Office of the Attorney General. Passidomo graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in political science and earned her juris doctor from the Washington and Lee University School of Law.
