Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Wesley “Chad” Choate to the School Board of Manatee County

Choate, of Sarasota, is a Financial Advisor at Edward Jones Investments. Previously, he was a teacher and football coach for the School District of Manatee County. Choate serves on the Leadership Manatee Alumni Association Board of Directors, Manatee County Ageing Network Board of Directors, Kiwanis of Bradenton Membership Committee and is Trustees Chair for Trinity United Methodist Church. He is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida. 

Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Fredrick “Rick” Piccolo to the University of South Florida Board of Trustees

Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Fredrick “Rick” Piccolo to the University of South Florida Board of Trustees. Fredrick “Rick” Piccolo

Piccolo, of Sarasota, is President and Chief Executive Officer of Sarasota Bradenton International Airport. He served in and received an honorable discharge from the United States Army and was named the 2005 Florida Department of Transportation Aviation Professional of the Year. He is a Past Chairman of the Airports Council International World, Past Chairman of the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and a Board Member of the Bradenton Area Economic Development Council. Piccolo earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo. This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

 Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Allison Korman Shelton to the University of North Florida Board of Trustees. Allison Korman Shelton

Shelton, of Jacksonville, is the former Director of Government Affairs for Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry and was previously Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations for The Stellar Group. She is a recipient of the Jacksonville Business Journal’s Women of Influence Award and currently serves on The Bolles School Board of Trustees in addition to being a Past President of the Jewish Community Alliance and graduate of Leadership Florida. Shelton earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Florida State University. This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
