BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women’s tennis team will welcome Victoria Gomez O’Hayon when the team returns from the December break and just before the dual match season begins.

She is a great player, with a good tennis foundation, which will help her as she continues to develop in the later stages of her career. Victoria is another great addition to our program, and we can’t wait to have her with us in January.”
Gomez O’Hayon will join the Owls this spring and will be an addition to a squad that finished last season ranked No. 66 nationally with a roster comprised of two juniors and five freshmen. The Owls return five from a year ago, including fifth year senior Martina Kudelova, who has played No. 1 for the Owls each of her previous four seasons, as well as senior Katerina Filip, who was 13-4 a year ago in dual match competitions. Fall 2022 newcomers include Carla Galmiche, Maya Shanok and Tamara Racine. Gomez O’Hayon will complete the team and will add depth to a squad that is set to challenge both Conference USA and the national rankings.
