What Tony Amato Said:
On tonight’s match:
“It was a really hard weekend for us as both games were 110 minutes. I thought the effort we put in was really good. I was proud of our team for not making any excuses, rising the challenge and playing hard. Obviously we wanted to win the game but overall the effort was good. We just lacked some execution, which when you are a little bit tired, that will happen.

“We didn’t concede any goals on the weekend and think if we can build on that, execute going forward, we should be able to score some goals and win some SEC games.” – Florida Head Coach Tony Amato

On the Gators’ fourth OT of the season:
“It gives us extra reps and helps us get a little fitter. It makes us harder in terms of being at a high competitive intensity level. I think it is going to help us as the season goes on. Conference play can be a grind. These moments will be something we can refer to as we push forward and look to win in extra time. That will be the next step for us as these overtimes will pay dividends as the season moves on.” – Florida Head Coach Tony Amato
