From the desk of Wayne Estes

As this incredible year comes to a close, all of us at Sebring International Raceway, like you, are reflecting on all of the twists and turns we experienced.
Sebring’s experience certainly was unprecedented. Everything was in place, ready to go in March for what was expected to be one of the most spectacular Mobil 1 Twelve Hours weekends in history. Then, on the eve of opening the paddock to the WEC competitors, suddenly the borders closed, race postponed, and the property was closed for several weeks as employees were home learning new dinner recipes, how to Zoom, and “helping flatten the curve” until car clubs were back on track in May.
Eight months later, Mario Andretti celebrated the 50th anniversary of the “Greatest 12 Hours” by giving the command for what turned out to be a rival for the title.
Beautiful weather set the stage for a spectacular close to the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech Championship. Drama captured the title contenders early and throughout the brutal endurance test while the race for overall victory provided no fewer heart-stopping moments.
In the end, Mazda took its first ever overall victory and future motorsports hall of famer Helio Castroneves finally claimed his first title in any series.
Many of our November guests discovered new ways to experience the race and said they would pay twice the price to do it again!
So, now we turn our attention to the next one, and not only are we not doubling the price; prices will remain the same for most tickets and parking passes.
Tickets are on sale now for the next 69th running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring as we prepare for an event in March 2021 with similar protocols as were in place in November. Preparations for the upcoming March event already were under way before spectators arrived in November.
Many surprises are in store for 2021, so stay tuned for what is to come.

In the meantime, as you prepare for the holiday season, consider shopping www.sebringpx.com where lots of items are “Holiday Sale Priced” for 25 percent off. Or there’s a wide range of other merchandise, like my personal favorites, the Sebring beach towel and the T-shirt/hat combo featuring the new Sebring branding.
Or, there’s always the great gift of the 69th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. Visit www.sebringraceway.com/tickets/ to take advantage of early bird prices while marking off the names of those special someones on your shopping list.
So, finally, the curtain falls on 2020, and all of us at Sebring International Raceway wish you, your family and friends, a safe and healthy holiday season, and a very Happy New Year for 2021. See you in March!
