Florida’s lobster mini-season – the recreational two-day season – begins at 12:01 a.m., Wednesday, July 27th and ends at midnight the following day, July 28th. To ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience, Miami-Dade County Parks advises marina patrons to make a plan before heading out on the water:
- Ensure you have all required safety equipment, life vests, and that boat lights are operational if you intend to be out on the water after dark.
- Remember to raise your dive flags and always stay within a safe distance of your boat.
- Take the time to review all boating rules and regulations for a safe and enjoyable time during mini-season.
Due to recent construction, Haulover Park boat ramps will be operating at limited capacity. Other marinas will offer extended hours of operation but are anticipated to fill up quickly.
