SUNRISE, Fla. –  The Florida Panthers will host ¡Vamos Gatos! Night powered by Ford on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023 when the Panthers host the Vancouver Canucks at FLA Live Arena at 7 p.m. The Panthers ¡Vamos Gatos! initiative celebrates the rich culture of South Florida’s Hispanic community and the ongoing efforts to foster inclusion and diversity in hockey and beyond.

Kicking off the celebrations, the Panthers will host a festive ¡Vamos Gatos! pregame party at FLA Live Arena’s Patron Patio and JetBlue Tarmac from 4-7 p.m. where fans can enjoy authentic bites from Carne en Vara Express (Venezuelan barbecue – North End Tarmac), 1811 Miami Express (traditional Paraguayan & Uruguayan food – South End Tarmac), as well as complementary Cafecito from 4 p.m.-5 p.m. while supplies last. Additionally, the Panthers ¡Vamos Gatos! pregame party will feature live mural installations by local artists, salsa dancers, a margarita bicycle, ¡Vamos Gatos! scarf giveaways courtesy of Ford and two dominoes tables complete with a professional instructor for fans who are new to the game. A game ticket is required for entry to the Patron Patio.

From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., the JetBlue Tarmac will feature live music by the Candy Band, stilt walkers, dancers, food trucks and fun fan activities such as Panthers slapshot cage and video game trucks.

During warmups, Panthers players will debut custom ¡Vamos Gatos! warmup jerseys exclusively designed by local artist Carlos Solano, which will be available for purchase immediately following warmups at FLA Live Arena’s Inside the Boards. Limited-edition Carlos Solano-designed ¡Vamos Gatos! t-shirts and pucks will also be available to purchase at FlaPanthers.givesmart.com, with all proceeds benefiting the Florida Panthers Foundation.

The Panthers game will begin with a ceremonial puck drop featuring Broward County Administrator Monica Cepero, a Cuban American native of Puerto Rico who has served state and local government management for more than 30 years. Cepero is one of the Panthers 31 ‘Hispanic Excellence’ Honorees being recognized in-game that evening, who also include local Hispanic business owners, educators, healthcare workers and activists making a positive impact in the South Florida community.

Festivities will continue throughout the game with intermission performances by Latin artist Criss Leger as well as the completion of a live mural painting by local artist, Alvin at the Ford ¡Vamos Gatos! Walls (Section 128, Plaza Level).
