Members of this global network are committed to one simple motto and mission: “Service Above Self.”

The Fort Lauderdale Rotary Club, founded 100 years ago when the local population was a mere 2000, was the region’s very first service organization. Comprised of business and civic leaders, neighborhood activists, and people inspired by the concept of contributing time and resources to improve the community locally and globally, the Fort Lauderdale Rotary Club remains the area’s premiere service club to this day.

Whether responding to urgent needs or crises, providing food, aide, and outreach to those in need, partnering with others to work on worthwhile endeavors that address current and future community needs, or adding annually to the more than $2.5 million in college scholarships to the club has awarded some of our most promising young people, the Fort Lauderdale Rotary has championed volunteerism and provided distinguished service to society for the past 100 years.

In celebration of the Fort Lauderdale Rotary’s 100th year of service to the community the club is launching a bold initiative to engage in 100 community-based during its anniversary year that will enrich the fabric of our community and faithfully manifest our motto of “Service Above Self.”
