Florida Panthers To Host Jason Taylor Foundation ‘Louder Than A Bomb Florida’ Event on March 30

SUNRISE, Fla. – Please be advised the Florida Panthers and FLA Live Arena will host the preliminary round for the annual ‘Louder Than A Bomb Florida’ competition in partnership with the Jason Taylor Foundation’s Omari Hardwick bluapple Poetry Network on Wednesday, March 30 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Over 200 students representing more than 25 high schools ranging from St. Lucie County to Miami-Dade County will participate in the spoken-word poetry competition. FLA Live Arena will be the lone host for the preliminary round with 5-6 locations within the arena playing host to each ‘poetry bout.’

The first series of bouts will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with second round taking place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

‘Louder Than a Bomb Florida’ is a festival featuring poetry bouts, workshops, and ultimately the crowning of Florida’s top youth poetry team. The most critical component, however, is the year-round, meaningful instruction inside the classroom and after-school clubs, with teachers and teaching artists who create and facilitate a safe space for individual and collective expression.
