    THE SHOW GOES ON
    The Panthers have earned the most points of any NHL team this season, earning 19 of a possible 20 points through their first 10 games of the season (9-0-1). Florida’s start represents their best through the first 10 games of a season in club history, and is their second-longest point streak to start a season in club history (8-0-4, Oct. 5-30, 1996). The Cats lead the NHL with 41 goals and are tied for the league lead with 15 third-period goals, and their 21 goals against are their third-fewest through the first 10 games of a season in franchise history.
    HOME SWEET HOME
    Florida enters tonight’s contest with the longest active home win streak among NHL teams (6-0-0). The club’s current stretch of six consecutive home games this season with at least four goals scored is a franchise record to begin a season. The Cats rank second among NHL teams with 28 goals scored on home ice, giving up just 14 goals on home ice thus far. Florida has not lost on home ice in their past 10 regular season contests dating back to April 24 vs. CAR, owning a perfect 10-0-0 record over that span.

    PERFECT STORM
    The Panthers and Hurricanes face off tonight as the final two teams without a regulation loss this season. There has yet to be an instance of two teams facing each other with each club having yet experienced a regulation loss through their first nine-plus games of a season, per NHL PR. Florida and Carolina have combined for a +42 goal differential this season.
    CATS AND CANES
    Carolina and Florida finished first and second, respectively, in the 2020-21 Central Division standings. Of their eight regular season contests against each other last season, four went to overtime or a shootout, including each of the first three games. The Cats owned a 2-4-2 record over their eight games vs. CAR. Aleksander Barkov led FLA with nine points (5-4-9) over those eight matchups and scored the OT-winner on April 24.
    O CAPTAIN! MY CAPTAIN!
    With two goals Nov. 4 vs. WSH, Panthers Captain Aleksander Barkov tied Olli Jokinen for most goals scored in club history (188). Barkov has tallied five goals over his past three games, and has posted a point in each of his past five contests (5-2-7). He leads FLA with seven goals and is tied for the club lead in points (7-5-12) this season. Prior to games played Nov. 5, he paced all NHL forwards with 15 takeaways. The Tampere, Finland native owns
    the second-most assists (289) and points (475) in club history.
    JONNY B. GOOD
    Jonathan Huberdeau recorded an assist for the seventh consecutive game Nov. 4 vs. WSH, the longest assist streak of his career and one shy of Olli Jokinen (5-8-13 in 8GP, Dec. 17, 2005-Jan. 1, 2006) for longest in club history. Huberdeau has recorded at least a point in all but one of FLA’s first 10 games this season, including 10 points (3-7-10) over his last seven contests. His current seven-game point streak is tied for the longest of his career (7 GP in 2020-21, 2017-18 &2015-16). He is tied for the team lead with 12 points (3-9-12) and leads the club with five power-play points (1-4-5). The 28- year-old is FLA’s franchise leader for assists (339) and points (510), and his 601 games played are the third-most by a Panther in club history.
    EK’S GON’ GIVE IT TO YA
    Aaron Ekblad scored his fourth goal of the season Nov. 4 vs. WSH. His four goals this season are tied for the league lead among NHL defensemen, and all four have been scored at FLA Live Arena. Ekblad’s 10 points (4-6-10) sit tied for fourth-most among league blueliners. He has recorded points in eight of FLA’s first 10 games this season, and leads the team with 25:47 time on ice per game and 33 shots on goal.
    THE DUKE
    Anthony Duclair notched an assist Nov. 4 vs. WSH to extend his point streak to five games (3-2-5). Duclair leads FLA with a plus-11 rating and ranks second with six goals scored (6-2-8). He notched his first assist of the season for his 200th NHL point Oct. 29 at DET. He tallied a goal in each of Florida’s first three games of the regular season (3-0-3), matching his season-long goal streak from 2020-21 (4G in 3GP, April 27-May 1, 2021).
    YOU’RE ON THE CASE, BOBROVSKY
    Sergei Bobrovsky has won each of his first six starts of a season for the first time in his career (6-0-0) and is the first goaltender in club history to win at least his first six starts of a season. His six-game win streak is tied for the second-longest by a FLA goalie in club history. He has allowed just seven goals against over his past six starts. Over his first seven appearances this season, he owns a .948 save percentage and a 1.72 goals against average.
    Bobrovsky earned his 300th NHL win Oct. 21 vs. COL, requiring the second-fewest appearances in NHL history to reach the mark behind only Jacques Plante (521 GP, per NHL PR). Bobrovsky’s 48 wins as a Panther are six shy of surpassing James Reimer for fourth-most in franchise history.
    RETURN OF THE MACK
    MacKenzie Weegar logged a season-high six blocked shots Oct. 30 at BOS, and he leads FLA with 21 blocked shots and ranks second on the club with 28 hits and sits third with 11 takeaways. Weegar has notched five assists (0-5-5) over 10 games and paces FLA with 204:38 total even-strength time on ice.
    ET TU, EETU?
    Eetu Luostarinen scored his first career overtime goal Nov. 4 vs. WSH. He has tallied three goals over his past four contests, including the game winning goals on Nov. 4 and Oct. 27 at BOS. His two game-winning goals this season are tied for the club lead this season.
    USE THE FORS
    Gustav Forsling posted his third multi-assist performance (0-2-2) of the season Nov. 4 vs. WSH, including an assist on the OT-GWG. He leads FLA with nine assists (0-9-9), which is tied for third-most among league blueliners. Forsling notched a career-high three assists (0-3-3) Oct. 27 vs. BOS, his second career three-point performance (1-2-3, Dec. 8, 2017 vs. BUF). The 25-year-old ranks second on FLA in takeaways (13) and third in blocked shots (14).
    BENNY AND THE CATS
    Sam Bennett recorded two assists Oct. 25 vs. ARI. Over 18 career regular season games with FLA, he has posted 22 points (10-12-22), including seven multi-point performances. He tallied his second career hat trick (3-0-3) Oct 16 vs. NYI. Bennett’s two game-winning goals are tied for most on FLA.
    SAM’S NEW CLUB
    Sam Reinhart notched an assist on Luostarinen’s OT-winner Nov. 4 vs. WSH. Reinhart has registered eight points (2-6-8) over his first 10 games as a Panther, including points in six of his past eight contests. He posted his 300th NHL point Oct. 25 vs. ARI.
    AGENT CARTER
    Carter Verhaeghe posted an assist for the second consecutive game Nov. 4 vs. WSH. He has produced seven points (3-4-7) over FLA’s first 10 games, all at even strength, and ranks second among FLA forwards in even-strength time on ice per game (14:52).
    KNIGHT TIME
    Spencer Knight owns a 7-0-1 record over the first eight regular season appearances of his career. The 20-year-old native of Darien, Conn. has stopped 104 of 114 shots against this season.
    MONTOUR OF DUTY
    Brandon Montour tallied his second goal of the season and skated a personal season-high 20:11 TOI Nov. 4 vs. WSH. The Brantford, Ontario native has recorded five points (2-3-5) through FLA’s first 10 games.
    STONE MASON
    Mason Marchment notched an assist Nov. 4 vs. WSH. He has recorded six points (1-5-6), all at even strength, over his first eight games this season. The 26-year-old native of Uxbridge, Ontario leads FLA forwards with 22 hits this season.
    FINNTASTIC
    Rookie Anton Lundell has recorded five points (2-3-5) over his first six NHL games. With his assist Oct. 23 at PHI, he became the second FLA rookie to post five points over his first five NHL games after Aleksander Barkov (2-3-5, 5GP, 2013-14). He owns a 51.2 faceoff win percentage this season.

TONIGHT’S CITY FURNITURE MILITARY HERO: Arthur Braunstein


Tonight’s Hero Among Us is WWII Veteran Arthur Braunstein. Arthur served in the US Army Air Forces from 1942-45. During his service in WWII, he served as a part of the air offensive in Europe that took place in areas such as Normandy, Naples, and Rome. Albert is the recipient of the Distinguished Unit Badge and European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal.
