TONIGHT’S CITY FURNITURE MILITARY HERO: Larry Roberts 

Tonight’s Hero Among Us is Larry Roberts. Larry served a total of 30 years in the United States military which included deployments in support of the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. He is the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal w/ 1 Star, Southwest Asia Service Medal w/ 2 Stars, and the Good Conduct Medal w/ 4 Stars.

HOME SWEET HOME
With their win Nov. 20 vs. MIN, the Panthers extended their franchise-record season-opening home win streak to 10-0-0. Florida’s 10-game streak marks the longest home wining streak in franchise history and is one win shy of matching the longest home winning streak from the start of a season in NHL history (11, 1963-64 CHI). The Cats have won 14 consecutive home games on home ice dating back to April 24, 2021 vs. CAR, the franchise’s longest home winning streak spanning multiple seasons. The Panthers have scored a league-leading 48 goals on home ice, allowing just 22 goals against. Florida remains the only NHL teams without a regulation loss on home ice in 2021-22. Anthony Duclair leads the Cats in scoring at home with seven goals and 12 points (7-5-12). Sergei Bobrovsky owns a 6-0-0 record, .945 save percentage and 1.89 goals against average on home ice in 2021-22.
POUR IT ON
Through games played Nov. 22, Florida led all NHL teams with 71 goals scored and 49 five-on-five goals. The Cats are the ninth team since 1995-96 to require 18 or fewer games to reach the 70-goal mark in a season.

DRAW FOUR
The Panthers are the third team in NHL history with at least four goals scored in each of their first 10 home games to start a season. Their 10-game streak of at least four tallies on home ice to start a season is one game shy of the league record (PHI, 11 games in 1992-93). The Cats have tallied five goals in seven of their 10 home games, tied for the fourth-most games with five-plus goals through the first 10 home games of a season in league history.
SPREADING THE LOVE
Ten different Panthers have produced at least 10 points this season, the most of any NHL team, and the Cats have a league-leading eight players with at least five goals scored.
PLAY THE HITS
The Cats have logged 35 hits over each of their past two games and 96 over their past three contests. Florida’s 474 hits through games played Nov. 22 ranked sixth-most among NHL teams. Radko Gudas leads all NHL defensemen with 82 hits, the second-most of any NHL skater.
THAT’S MINE
The Panthers lead all NHL teams with 200 takeaways in 2021-22. MacKenzie Weegar leads FLA with 23 takeaways. Four Panthers (Weegar, Aleksander Barkov [22], Carter Verhaeghe [17] and Anton Lundell [16]) rank among the top 20 NHL skaters in takeaways. Nine different Panthers have registered at least 10 takeaways in 2021-22, tied with NJD for the most among NHL teams.
CATS AND FLYERS
Florida and Philadelphia face off for the second time this season following the Panthers 4-2 win at Wells Fargo Center on Oct. 23. Jonathan Huberdeau posted three points (2-1-3) and Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 27 of 29 PHI shots en route to the victory. Tonight, Keith Yandle returns to FLA Live Arena for the first time since joining PHI. Yandle recorded 231 points (30-201-231) over 371 games as a Panther from 2016-17 to 2020-21.
JONNY B. GOOD
Jonathan Huberdeau has produced five pints (3-2-5) over his past four games. He leads FLA with 12 assists and 18 points (6-12-18) in 2021-22. He has recorded at least one point in 14 of FLA’s 18 games this season. He also leads the club with five power-play points (1-4-5). The 28-year-old is FLA’s franchise leader for assists (342) and points (516), and his 609 games played are the third-most by a Panther in club history. He ranks second among FLA forwards with 39:57 shorthanded time on ice.
EK’S GON’ GIVE IT TO YA
Aaron Ekblad has produced a point in each of his past four games (1-4-5). Ekblad’s five goals scored this season have all been tallied at FLA Live Arena, and are tied for the third-most goals scored by any NHL defenseman this season. Ekblad leads FLA blueliners with 15 points (5-10-15). His +17 rating leads all NHL defensemen and is the second-highest among NHL skaters. He leads the team with 25:13 time on ice per game and 54 shots on goal.
YOU’RE ON THE CASE, BOBROVSKY
Sergei Bobrovsky owns a 8-0-2 record in 2021-22. With his 35-save win Nov. 20 vs. MIN, he became the second goaltender in club history to earn at least one point in 10 consecutive decisions (Roberto Luongo, 9-0-1 in 2015-16). He is the only goaltender without a regulation loss who has at least nine games played this season, and the second FLA goaltender in club history since John Vanbiesbrouck in 1996-97 (6-0-3) with points in each of his
first nine or more decisions in a season. Through games played Nov. 22, Bobrovsky ranked tied for fifth among NHL goaltenders with a .937 save percentage (min. 10 games played). Over his 11 appearances this season, he owns a 1.99 goals against average, which is sixth-best among goaltenders with at least 10 appearances. He has not lost in regulation in his past 13 regular season appearances (10-0-2), and has won seven straight games at FLA Live Arena dating back to May 8 vs. TBL.
THE DUKE
Anthony Duclair recorded his second multi-point performance of the campaign Nov. 18 vs. NJD (1-1-2). Duclair leads all Panthers in goals and points on home ice (7-5-12). His plus-14 rating is tied for second-most on FLA and among all NHL forwards. Duclair’s nine goals are tied for most on FLA and his 16 points (9-7-16) rank third on the club. He has tallied 98 goals over his NHL career. Eight of his goals have been scored at even strength, tied for the fifth-most among league skaters through Nov. 22.
RETURN OF THE MACK
MacKenzie Weegar has notched an assist in each of his past three games (0-3-3). The 27-year-old native of Ottawa, Ontario ranks second on FLA with 53 hits this season and he leads the team with 36 blocked shots. His nine helpers are the third-most among Florida defensemen. He leads FLA blueliners with 23 takeaways, the second-most takeaways among NHL defensemen.
FRANK THE TANK
Frank Vatrano recorded three points (2-1-3) Nov. 20 vs. MIN, including two second-period goals. Vatrano is the second Panther to record two goals in a period this season (Aaron Ekblad, Oct. 14 vs. PIT, 3rd period). The East Longmeadow, Mass. native has amassed five points (4-1-5) over his past five games.
USE THE FORS
Gustav Forsling notched his 11th assist of the season Nov. 20 vs. MIN, one shy of matching his career high for assists in a season. All 11 of his assists have come at even strength, tied with Aaron Ekblad for the second-most even-strength points among NHL defensemen through Nov. 22. He leads the club with nine assists on home ice in 2021-22. The 25-year-old ranks third on FLA with 22 blocked shots.
BENNY AND THE CATS
Sam Bennett tallied his sixth goal of the season Nov. 20 vs. MIN. He has registered 15 shots over his past four games and leads FLA forwards with 50 shots and 31 hits in 2021-22. He has amassed 25 points (12-13-25) over 24 total regular season games as a Panther. His three game-winning goals are tied with Eetu Luostarinen for the most on the Panthers this season.
AGENT CARTER
Carter Verhaeghe has tallied a goal in each of his past three games (3-0-3). He has logged six points (3-3-6) over his past six games, and 10 (3-7-10) over his past 10 games. He has produced 15 points (6-9-15) over 18 games and leads FLA forwards in total even-strength time on ice (270:04). His 14 even-strength points (6-8-14) rank second on FLA.
WELCOME TO THE GUD LIFE
Radko Gudas produced an assist and logged a season-high nine hits Nov. 20 vs. MIN, tied for the third-most hits in a game by any skater in 2021-22. He leads FLA with 81 hits this season. He is 45 hits shy of surpassing Roman Polak (2,024) for the most hits by a Czech Republic-born player in NHL history. Gudas ranks second on FLA with 31 blocked shots.
TIPPING THE SCALES
Owen Tippett scored his fourth goal of the season Nov. 20 vs. MIN. He has produced a point in five of his past eight games (2-4-6). He recorded his first multi-point performance of the season (1-1-2) Nov. 9 at NJD. He has registered 10 points (4-6-10) in 2021-22, all at even strength.
KNIGHT TIME
Spencer Knight made made a career high 45 saves Nov. 18 vs. NJD, improving his record at FLA Live Arena this season to 4-0-0. Knight’s performance marked the most saves in a game by a Panthers rookie goaltender in club history.
