    The Panthers and Islanders face off tonight for the second time this season following FLA’s 5-1 victory over NYI on Oct. 16. Sam Bennett recorded his second career hat trick (3-0-3), and Gustav Forsling notched two assists. Five Panthers defensemen recorded at least one point in the game, and Radko Gudas and MacKenzie Weegar each logged six hits.

    BARKOV COUNTY
    Panthers Captain Aleksander Barkov has produced at least one point in each of his past nine games (7-4-11) and in 13 of FLA’s 15 games in 2021-22. He tallied his team-leading ninth goal of the season and logged a season-high five takeaways Nov. 11 at PIT. His five takeaways were tied for the second-most in a game by an NHL skater this season. Barkov leads FLA with 16 points (9-7-16) and 14 even-strength points (7-7-14). His 14 even strength points tied for the third-most among NHLers through games played Nov. 14. The recipient of the 2020-21 Frank J. Selke Trophy paces FLA forwards with 21:53 time on ice per game. Barkov’s goal Nov. 9 at NJD was the 189th of his career, surpassing Olli Jokinen for the most goals scored by a Panther in club history.
    POUR IT ON
    Through games played Nov. 14, Florida ranked second among NHL teams with 3.73 goals scored per game and 35 total five-on-five goals scored. Their 56 tallies, +17 goal differential and 34.6 shots per game were each the third highest in the league.
    SPREAD OFFENSE
    The Panthers ranked in the top six NHL teams in goals scored in the first period (16, T-4th), second period (17, T-6th), third period (20, T-3rd) and overtime (3, T-1st) from Oct. 12 – Nov. 14. They also ranked in the top 10 NHL teams in shots in the first period (155-T-8th), second period (195, 1st) and third period (158, T-6th).
    THAT’S MINE
    The Panthers rank second among NHL teams with 145 takeaways this season. Aleksander Barkov’s 20 takeaways tied for the league lead among forwards and were the second-most among all NHL skaters through games played Nov. 14, and MacKenzie Weegar sat tied for fourth-most with 17. Seven different Panthers have registered at least 10 takeaways in 2021-22: Barkov, Weegar, Carter Verhaeghe (14), Gustav Forsling (13), Anton Lundell (12), Owen Tippett (10) and Anthony Duclair (10).
    JONNY B. GOOD
    Jonathan Huberdeau scored his fourth goal of the season Nov. 13 at TBL. He has produced at least one point in 11 of FLA’s 15 games this season and ranks tied for the team lead in assists (10). His 14 points (4-10-14) are second-most on FLA, and he leads the club with five power-play points (1-4-5). The 28-year-old is FLA’s franchise leader for assists (340) and points (512), and his 606 games played are the third-most by a Panther in club history. He leads FLA forwards with 26 hits.
    EK’S GON’ GIVE IT TO YA
    Aaron Ekblad notched his seventh assist of the season Nov. 13 at TBL. His four goals this season are tied for second-most among NHL defensemen, and all four have been scored at FLA Live Arena. Ekblad leads FLA blueliners with 11 points (4-7-11). He leads the team with 25:43 time on ice per game and 44 shots on goal.
    YOU’RE ON THE CASE, BOBROVSKY
    Sergei Bobrovsky owns a 6-0-2 record in 2021-22. Through games played Nov. 14, Bobrovsky led all NHL goaltenders with a .940 save percentage (min. eight games played). He won each of his first six starts of a season for the first time in his career (6-0-0) and is the first goaltender in club history to win at least his first six starts of a season. Over his nine appearances this season, he owns a 1.88 goals against average, which ranks fourth among goaltenders with at least eight appearances. He has not lost in regulation in his past 11 appearances (8-0-2), and has won five straight games at FLA Live Arena dating back to May 8 vs. TBL.
    THE DUKE
    Anthony Duclair’s plus-12 rating ranks tied for second among all NHL skaters through games played Nov. 14. He produced an assist Nov. 9 at NJD and recorded a career-high four points (2-2-4) Nov. 6 vs. CAR. Duclair’s eight goals are second-most on FLA and his 13 points rank third on the club. He has tallied 97 goals over his NHL career.
    RETURN OF THE MACK
    MacKenzie Weegar logged four hits and two takeaways Nov. 13 at TBL. The 27-year-old native of Ottawa, Ontario ranks second on FLA with 47 hits this season and he leads the team with 30 blocked shots. Weegar notched his sixth assist of the season Nov. 11 at PIT. His six helpers are third-most among Florida defensemen. He leads FLA defensemen with 17 takeaways, and he paces FLA with 307:25 total even-strength time on ice.
    USE THE FORS
    Gustav Forsling notched his 10th assist of the season Nov. 9 at NJD. He is three assists shy of setting a new career high for assists in a season. His 10 helpers are tied with Jonathan Huberdeau for most on FLA and are tied for sixth-most among NHL defensemen through Nov. 14. All 10 of his assists have come at even strength. His 10 even-strength points lead all NHL blueliners. He leads the club with eight assists and a plus-eight rating on home ice in 2021-22. The 25-year-old ranks third on FLA with 17 blocked shots.
    SAM’S NEW CLUB
    Sam Reinhart has notched a point in four of his last six games (1-3-4), including an assist Nov. 11 at PIT. Reinhart has registered 11 points (3-8-11) over his first 15 games as a Panther, including points in nine of his past 13 contests. Eight of his 11 points have come at even strength (3-5-8), tied for fifth-most on the team, and his 204:54 even strength time on ice ranks third among FLA forwards.
    BENNY AND THE CATS
    Sam Bennett has produced five goals and eight points (5-3-8) over 11 games this season. He has amassed 23 points (11-12-23) over his first 21 regular season games as a Panther. His 38 shots on goal are third-most on the club.
    AGENT CARTER
    Carter Verhaeghe has notched three assists (0-3-3) over his past three games, and seven (0-7-7) over his past seven games. He has produced 12points (3-9-12) over 15 games and leads FLA forwards in total even-strength time on ice (225:23). His 11 even-strength points (3-8-11) are the second most on FLA.
    WELCOME TO THE GUD LIFE
    Radko Gudas logged eight hits Nov. 11 at PIT, the most in a game by a Panther this season and are tied for the second-most hits in a game by a defenseman this season. He leads FLA with 61 hits this season, the second-most of any NHL skater through Nov. 14. Since Jan. 1, he paces all NHLers with 311 hits over 68 games played. His 1,959 hits are 66 shy of surpassing Roman Polak for most hits by a Czech Republic-born NHL player in league history. Gudas ranks second on FLA with 25 blocked shots.
    FINNISH PHENOM
    Anton Lundell leads all NHL forwards with 3:13 shorthanded time on ice per game (min. 10 games played). He notched an assist Nov. 11 at PIT, and has produced seven points (3-4-7) over 11 games this season, tied for the third-most of any player selected in the 2020 NHL Draft. He leads all Panthers forwards with 16 blocked shots and his 10 takeaways are third-most.
    MONTOUR OF DUTY
    Brandon Montour has produced seven points (2-5-7) over 15 games this season. The 27-year-old native of Brantford, Ontario tallied his second goal of the season and skated a personal season-high 20:11 TOI Nov. 4 vs. WSH.
    TIPPING THE SCALES
    Owen Tippett has recorded a point in three of his past five games (1-3-4). He posted his first multi-point performance of the season (1-1-2) Nov. 9 at NJD. He has registered eight points (3-5-8) in 2021-22, all at even strength.

Tonight’s Hero Among Us is Jennifer Brande. Jennifer served in the U.S. Army from 2000-2012 with deployments to Iraq, Kuwait and South Korea.
