Florida Heads to Arkansas for the Razorback Invitational

The running events each day will be streamed on SEC Network +

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators Track and Field teams travel to Arkansas this week for their first of three trips to Randal Tyson Track Center this season. They will take part in the 2023 Razorback Invitational for the first time since 2020. This is the 11th consecutive year that the Gators have competed at an indoor event in Fayetteville.

In the first meet of the year Gators took home 13 event titles (10 women’s, 3 men’s). In addition to the titles, Florida saw success from everyone who traveled. The men’s team had 24 event performances finish in the top-10 at the meet, while the women’s team registered 21 top-10 performances.

Sean Dixon-Bodie and Jasmine Moore earned SEC Field Athlete of the Week honors for their performances. Dixon-Bodie’s mark of 16.53 (54’2.75″) in the triple jump is second in the NCAA this year and just 0.14 meters behind the leading mark in the world this season. Moore jumped 14.44m (47’4.5″) in the triple jump, finishing first and setting the mark for top women’s triple jump in the nation so far this year.

On the track a number of Gators found success including Talitha Diggs and Pjai Austin. Diggs competed in the women’s 60m (7.14) and 300m (36.12) events, placing first in both and setting a new school record in the 300m. Austin ran the men’s 60m and 200m at Clemson. In the 60m he ran a PR of 6.59, placing third in the event and tying him for the fifth fastest time in school history. In the 200m, he made his indoor debut, finishing third and running a time of 20.85.

The first event Friday will begin at 1:15 p.m. ET with Sterling Lester taking part in the 60m hurdles, the first of five events for the pentathlon competition. Day one of the meet will see the Gators men and women compete in the long jump, shot put, and 200m. The women will also take part in the pentathlon and distance medley relay, while the Corvell Todd will compete in the high jump for the men.

Day two begins at 1:30 p.m. ET and includes men and women in the 60m hurdles, 60m, mile, 400m, 800m, and 4×400. Only the men will participate in the triple jump on Saturday.
