FOOTBALL RETURNS TO LITTLE HAVANA
Saturday’s game against Miami (Fla.) will mark FIU’s first game at the historic former site of the Orange Bowl Stadium since the Panthers took down North Texas on Dec. 1, 2007.  The Panthers defeated the Mean Green 38-19 on that day, as Paul McCall threw for 228 yards and three scores in the win.

SCOUTING THE HURRICANES
UM enters Saturday with a 6-4 record overall, after winning its last three games. The Hurricanes have downed Pitt (16-12), Florida State (27-10) and Louisville (52-27) during their current win streak.

The Hurricanes are led by quarterback Jarren Williams, who has thrown for 1,702 yards and 16 touchdowns. On the ground, UM has been paced by Deejay Dallas who has gained 643 yards rushing and found the end zone eight times. Defensively, Gregory Rousseau has earned 12.0 sacks on the year which ranks fourth overall in the nation. Rousseau also has 35 tackles, 15.5 TFLs and two forced fumbles. Shaquille Quarterman leads the team for tackles overall, with 78 on the year and 14.5 TFLs.

O-LINE LEADS C-USA IN SACKS ALLOWED
The FIU offensive line has done a great job keeping James Morgan clean this season, as the big boys up front have only allowed 13 sacks this year. The 13 sacks allowed are tied for the 13th-lowest in the nation and are tied for first overall in C-USA.

D-LINE TURNAROUND
After four games to start the year, the Panthers had earned only three sacks. Since then, FIU has gotten to the QB 10 times in just six games.

MORGAN NEARING CAREER PASSING MARK
James Morgan is only six touchdown passes shy of tying the career touchdown mark (42) at FIU set by Josh Padrick from 2003-06. Morgan has 50 touchdowns for his collegiate career, with 16 coming at Bowling Green.

BORREGALES ON ALL-TIME LISTS
Jose Borregales has been clutch at FIU since first taking the field in 2017. The junior ranks second overall for most points scored by a non-quarterback, scoring 246 points for his career. Borregales’ 96 points scored last season was tied for second-most in a single season behind Jack Griffin’s 102 in 2011.
