FIU Football Plays Host to North Texas for Senior Night 2021

MIAMI – (Nov. 17, 2021) – FIU Football hosts its final game of the 2021 season at FIU Stadium, as the Panthers welcome the North Texas Mean Green for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday, Nov. 20.
 
This Saturday’s game will serve as Senior Day for FIU, as the Panthers will cap the 2021 home slate.
 
The contest can be viewed on ESPN3. “Voice of the Panthers” AJ Ricketts and color analyst Corey Brooks will be on the TV call, while the radio call will be on the Panthers’ new radio home, Univision’s WQBA 1140 AM. For complete game notes, click here

Senior QB Max Bortenschlager is on pace to have one of the best statistical seasons a Panther QB has had in program history. The signal-caller currently needs 262 yards to break Alex McGough’s 2017 passing record of 2,798 yards in a single season.

The Panthers fell 50-10 at Middle Tennessee on November 13.
 
SCOUTING THE MEAN GREEN
The Mean Green of North Texas enter this weekend’s match up with a 4-6 overall record and are 3-3 in conference play.

UNT ranks 52nd nationally in total offense, av­eraging 421.8 yards per game. The Mean Green also rank 79th in the country in totally defense surrendering 393.2 yards a contest.
 
The visitors from Denton come to Miami riding a three-game winning streak that includes a 20-17 victory over UTEP last week.
