MIAMI (Feb. 3, 2021) – Head Coach Butch Davis and FIU football announced the full 2021 signing class on Wednesday, as the Panther coaching staff put the finishing touches on #Prowl21.
A total of four prospects were signed on Wednesday, as the group added with December’s 14 to give FIU 18 for the class.
FIU signed quarterback Grayson James, wide receiver Tyrese Chambers and offensive lineman JD Gomez on offense while adding four-star defensive lineman Savion Collins on defense to fill the impressive class. Collins is ranked as FIU’s third-highest recruit out of high school in program history.
FIU’s 18 signees split evenly, with nine players on offense and nine players on defense. A total of 15 players hail from the great state of Florida, while one each comes from Colorado, Maryland and Texas.
Focus now shifts to the spring season, with more scholarships available to sign talent if Coach Davis and the Panthers choose.
