FIU Football News: FIU Announces Football Schedule Updates

MIAMI (Sept. 3, 2020) – Five home contests, three Friday night kickoffs and a pair of CBS Sports Network aired games highlight FIU’s football schedule, with the Panthers set to kickoff the 2020 season at Liberty on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

In addition to FIU’s season opener at Liberty, the Panthers will also face Jacksonville State in non-conference action. FIU’s home game against JSU, originally scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 3, has now been re-scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

FIU’s seven Conference USA games will round out the 2020 schedule, with the Panthers opening league action at home against Middle Tennessee (Sat., Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. ET). The game against the Blue Raiders will serve as Homecoming for the Panthers.

FIU also hosts Marshall (Fri., Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. ET), Florida Atlantic (Fri., Nov. 13 at 7 p.m.) and Louisiana Tech (Sat., Nov. 28 at Noon ET) at Riccardo Silva Stadium. Two of those home C-USA matchups, Marshall and Florida Atlantic, were moved to Friday night to accommodate CBS Sports Network.

The Panthers will round out their remaining C-USA slate on the road, with FIU traveling to Charlotte (Sat., Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. ET), UTEP (Sat., Nov. 7 at 4 p.m. ET) and WKU (Sat., Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. ET). All three road matchups will be aired on ESPN3 or ESPN+.
