FAU Women’s Swimming & Diving Prepare for C-USA Championships

BOCA RATON, Fla. – (Feb. 26, 2019) – The Florida Atlantic University women’s swimming and diving team will be competing at the 2019 Air Force Reserve Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championships this week at McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta. The championships will take place from Wednesday to Saturday with preliminaries starting at 10:30 a.m. and finals commencing at 6 p.m. each day except for Wednesday. Live results will be available on the MeetMobile app. Every day except for Wednesday will be streamed on ESPN+.

Last Time at the C-USA Championships:

The Owls finished in fifth place at the 2018 C-USA Championships last year in Atlanta. Spence Atkins walked away with two gold medals in the 1650-yard freestyle (16:22.97) and 200-yard butterfly (1:57.87). Several records were broken as well, with Abigail Marshall becoming the new school record holder in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 54.55 to earn the silver medal and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Allyson Schwarz, Victoria Ellwood, Ashlyn Hunt and Miranda Fellowes finishing in 1:38.11 to break the freshmen record.

Up Next:

The divers who qualified for the NCAA Diving Zone B Championship will be competing from March 11 to 13 in Auburn, Alabama for the meet. Logan Downey and Malvina Catalano have qualified for the 1-meter dive.
