FAU Women’s Basketball Announces C-USA Schedule for 2019-20

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women’s basketball team has announced its Conference USA schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 season. The Owls will play each league opponent once during the regular season and will face in-state rival FIU twice. The season will conclude with Bonus Play against opponents that will be determined at a later time.

The Owls open 2020 in the Lone Star State with games at UTSA (Jan. 2) and UTEP (Jan. 4). FAU will continue with Texas teams the next week against defending champions Rice (Jan. 9) and North Texas (Jan. 11) at home. The team will hit the road again the following week at Middle Tennessee (Jan. 16) and at UAB (Jan. 18).

FAU hosts Charlotte (Jan. 23) and Old Dominion (Jan. 25) before taking on WKU (Jan. 30) and Marshall (Feb. 1) away from home. The Owls will take on rival FIU in Miami on Feb. 8 and then face Southern Miss (Feb. 13) and Louisiana Tech (Feb. 15) on the recently-named Abessinio Court at FAU Arena. In the final guaranteed home game of the season, FAU will host FIU on Feb. 20.

Following the conclusion of the scheduled games, C-USA will announce the Bonus Play schedule. Teams will be grouped based on their finish in the league and will be scheduled to play four opponents to finish out the final three weeks of the regular season. The potential dates are Feb. 22, Feb. 26, Feb. 29, March 5 and March 7. One of those dates will be a bye game.
