FAU Women’s Basketball Adds Primm as Graduate Transfer

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University women’s basketball head coach Jim Jabir has announced the addition of Crystal Primm to the 2019-20 roster. Primm will enroll at FAU as a graduate transfer, earning immediate eligibility with the team. She graduated from Auburn in May 2019.

“We are so happy to have Crystal come and join our young program and her dad, Terry,” said Jabir. “Every program we’ve ever built has started with a person who took a chance on us. Crystal is that person. She’s a super talented player who will be a great leader for us and help us get to where we expect to go.”

Primm started all 32 games for the Tigers in 2018-19 and averaged 10.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.5 assists per game. She was a 46.4 percent shooter from the field and scored in double digits 19 times.

The West Palm Beach, Florida native was with the Tigers for two seasons but sat out the 2017-18 season after transferring from Duke. She played with the Blue Devils for two seasons. She started in 14 games as a freshman.

In high school, Primm was named the Palm Beach Post, Sun-Sentinel and Florida Dairy Farmers 3A and FABC 3A Player of the Year. She scored 856 points in her junior and senior seasons combined, averaging 20.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 2.1 assists as a senior.

Primm is the daughter of assistant coach, Terry Primm. The elder Primm has been with the Owls all three years of the Jabir era of FAU women’s basketball.
