In fact, to begin the year, 16 of the Owls’ first 17 games will be held at FAU Stadium, starting with a four-game series against Minnesota (Feb. 18-22). After a quick road trip south the following Wednesday, Feb. 23, to take on Miami, the next dozen will all be opportunities to see FAU on their home field: a weekend set vs. Delaware; March 1-2 hosting Michigan; two home three-game series versus Fordham and Sacred Heart; and a midweek matchup with North Dakota State.

The very next series will open up Conference USA play, on the road, against Southern Miss. After that is the Owls’ annual home matchup with Miami, on March 23, followed by the first home C-USA series, hosting UTSA.

Other league teams coming to Boca Raton this year are UAB, WKU, FIU and Charlotte, with Senior Day to come against the 49ers the weekend of May 13-15. The Owls will travel to take on Rice, Old Dominion, Louisiana Tech and Marshall, with the latter closing out the regular season, just four days before the 2022 C-USA Championship (to be hosted by Southern Miss in Hattiesburg, May 25-29).

“We are looking forward to this schedule,” said McCormack. “The non-conference schedule is very challenging with Miami, Michigan, UCF and Minnesota, among others. Then the conference schedule is a bear this year because of our road series. We go on the road to ODU, Southern Miss, LA Tech, Rice, and Marshall. It will be a challenging spring, we look forward to it.”
