FAU Baseball is C-USA’s No. 5 Seed, Will Play ODU on May 26

BOCA RATON, Fla. –
In 10 days, the 2021 Air Force Reserve Conference USA Baseball Championship gets underway with the first round of action, and the full bracket has now been released. On Wednesday, May 26, the Florida Atlantic University Owls, as the league’s No. 5 seed, will take on fourth-seeded Old Dominion in the day’s opening game, at 10 a.m. Eastern.

The double-elimination tournament will take place in Ruston, Louisiana, at the newly-refurbished J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park, and will be hosted at a campus site for the first time in five years (not since 2016), by Louisiana Tech. The Owls (29-23, 18-14 C-USA) and Monarchs (36-14, 22-8 C-USA) are in the same side of the bracket as regular season champion and top seed Charlotte, who play No. 8 Middle Tennessee in the first day’s second matchup.

No matter Wednesday’s result, the Owls will play again Thursday, and again, in one of the first two games. All games taking place during the championship’s first four days will stream on ESPN+, while the Sunday final will be broadcasted live on CBS Sports Network.
