Miami Dolphins make roster moves

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have activated linebacker Kyle Van Noy off the reserve/COVID-19* list and elevated wide receiver Antonio Callaway to the active roster for Sunday’s game.

Van Noy has played in seven games with six starts for the Dolphins this season, totaling 33 tackles (24 solo), two sacks, four passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He joined the Dolphins as an unrestricted free agent from New England on March 21, 2020. Van Noy originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick (40th overall) by Detroit in the 2014 NFL draft.

Callaway joined Miami’s practice squad on Sept. 6, 2020. He has played in 20 NFL games with 13 starts, all with Cleveland from 2018-19. He has 51 career receptions for 675 yards (13.2 avg.) and five touchdowns. Callaway originally entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick (105th overall) by Cleveland in the 2018 NFL draft. A Miami native, Callaway attended Booker T. Washington Senior High School.

*This new reserve list category was created for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons. If a player falls into either of these categories, their club is required to immediately place the player on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Per agreed upon NFL-NFLPA policy, clubs are not permitted to comment on a player’s medical status other than referring to roster status. Clubs may not disclose whether a player is in quarantine or is positive for COVID-19.

Miami Dolphins make roster moves

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have elevated defensive tackle Benito Jones and tight end Chris Myarick as COVID-19 replacements for Sunday’s game.

Jones has played in two games for the Dolphins in 2020 and spent the rest of the season on Miami’s practice squad. He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with the Dolphins on April 29, 2020. Jones was a four-year letterman (2016-19) and three-year starter at Mississippi. He earned second-team All-SEC honors as a senior in 2019.

Myarick has spent all of the past two seasons on Miami’s practice squad after entering the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with the Dolphins on May 9, 2019. He was a four-year letterman (2015-18) and two-year starter at Temple, where he appeared in 43 games with 25 starts. As a senior in 2018, Myarick made 12 starts and caught 14 passes for 146 yards (10.4 avg.) and one touchdown.

LIONS ANNOUNCE ROSTER MOVES
Allen Park, Mich. — The Detroit Lions announced today that they have elevated DT Frank Herron and T Dan Skipper from the practice squad to the Active/Inactive list pursuant to the Standard Elevation Addendum.

JAGUARS MAKE ROSTER MOVES AND ANNOUNCE UPDATES FOR TOMORROW’S GAME

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced the following roster moves and updates for tomorrow’s game:

  • OL Brandon Linder will not travel to Green Bay, and his status has been downgraded to OUT for tomorrow’s game with a back injury.
  • The Jaguars used the two practice squad standard elevation spots on LB Joe Giles-Harris and WR Terry Godwin.
  • The Jaguars promoted OL KC McDermott and S Doug Middleton to the active roster from the practice squad.
  • The Jaguars activated S Andrew Wingard to the active roster from the reserve/injured-designated to return list and K Chase McLaughlin from the exempt/commissioner permission list.
