Detroit Pistons Sign Trayvon Palmer and Justin Robinson to 10-day Contracts

DETROIT – Dec. 28, 2021 – The Detroit Pistons announced today that the club has signed Trayvon Palmer and Justin Robinson to 10-day contracts using the COVID-related hardship allowance. Per team policy, terms of the agreements were not disclosed.  

Palmer, 6-6, 185, has appeared in 14 games this season (12 starts) with the Motor City Cruise, the Detroit Pistons’ NBA G League affiliate.  He posted averages of 11.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists in 34 minutes per game.

                Palmer has spent the last three seasons in the G League, appearing in 81 games (37 starts) with the Northern Arizona Suns, Santa Cruz Warriors and Raptors 905.  He holds career averages of 8.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 24.7 minutes per game.

                Prior to his time in the G League, Palmer spent three years at Chicago State University.  He appeared in 92 games (72 starts), averaging 10.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 30.3 minutes per game.

                He will wear No. 31 for the Pistons.

Robinson, 6-1, 195, has two years of NBA experience, posting clips of 2.2 points and 1.0 assist in 9.2 minutes over 38 games.  The former Virginia Tech Hokie spent his rookie season with the Washington Wizards, before appearing in games with Oklahoma City, Toronto, Milwaukee and most recently Sacramento.

                He has also spent time in the G League, appearing in 47 games (38 starts) with Raptors 905, Capital City Go Go, Delaware Blue Coats and Wisconsin Herd.  Robinson holds G League averages of 14.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 5.9 assists in 31.1 minutes per game.

                He will wear No. 34 for the Pistons.
