Detroit Pistons Announce 2019-20 Local Broadcast Schedule

82 Regular-Season Games Will Air Exclusively on FOX Sports Detroit/FOX Sports Detroit Plus

All Games Broadcast on 97.1 FM The Ticket or WWJ 950 AM

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The Detroit Pistons announced today that its 2019-20 local television schedule will include 82 regular-season games and three preseason contests televised by FOX Sports Detroit and/or FOX Sports Detroit Plus. In addition, two games will air on ESPN as part of the NBA’s national television schedule, while all Pistons games will be broadcast on the radio at either 97.1 FM The Ticket or WWJ 950 AM. 

  FOX Sports Detroit, beginning its 23rd season of broadcasting Pistons games, is the exclusive local television provider for Detroit Basketball. The network will televise 82 regular-season games beginning with the season opener at Indiana on October 23. FOX Sports Detroit will also carry preseason home games on October 7 vs. Orlando, October 9 vs. Dallas and October 11 vs. Cleveland. All Pistons games this season on FOX Sports Detroit and FOX Sports Detroit Plus will be televised in high-definition. Fans will also be able to stream any Pistons game that airs on a FOX network on FOX Sports GO.

Highlights of the Pistons home schedule include an early visit from Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris and the Philadelphia 76ers on October 26 and a return matchup on December 23, while league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks will make appearances on December 4 and February 20. The reigning NBA Champion Toronto Raptors will make two trips to Detroit this season (December 18 and January 31) while Zion Williamson, the first overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, and the New Orleans Pelicans make their only appearance on January 13. The new-look Brooklyn Nets, featuring All-Star guard Kyrie Irving, will visit twice (November 2 and January 25) and Kemba Walker will make his first, and only, appearance in Detroit with the Celtics on April 13. 

Other must-see home matchups include five games in late March against Western Conference powers featuring Curry, Klay Thompson, Michigan State’s Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors (March 20), LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the L.A. Lakers (March 22), Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum and the Portland Trail Blazers (March 25), NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, all-star guard Paul George and the L.A. Clippers (March 27) and former league MVP’s James Harden and Russell Westbrook and the Houston Rockets (March 29).

Accompanying the telecasts is PISTONS LIVE, providing exclusive and extensive pre- and post-game coverage originating from the Little Caesars Arena and the network’s high-definition studio.  

FOX Sports Detroit’s coverage of the Pistons is available to 3.2 million cable and satellite households throughout Michigan and portions of Northwest Ohio.

The team’s radio flagship partner, 97.1 FM The Ticket, will broadcast all preseason and regular-season games.
