Detroit Lions vs LA Chargers.

The Detroit Lions travel to Los Angeles to face off against the Chargers. Chargers have achieved a lot of first downs this season 157. But 42 by rushing and 100 by penalty. Which means only 15 by passing the ball. They are 46 of 110 on first down. 7 of 15 on 4th down. Brandon Staley has now been more of a gambler on 4th down than Dan Campbell for the Lions of late.
This is a potential offense. Ranked in the top 10. On paper this roster looks just as if not even more talented at the starter positions. But their defense is about 15th in the league overall.
Keys on Defense:
Do not let Austin Ekeler take over in first downs. He is the biggest reason they have so many rushing first downs.
Maintain their composure and stay disciplined not having mental penalties against. They are very good at drawing people offsides with their cadence. And getting PI on secondaries in coverages.
The Offensive keys:
Must establish the run and getting in good 2nd down and 3rd down positions with the distance to gain. Establishing the play action for Goff to shine.
Special Teams:
For the love of all that is holy. If you’re not going to get to the first down marker. Run to the left hash to set PK Riley Patterson up on the side where he is 100% in his career up to 54 yards away.
