The following are post-game notes and quotes from the Detroit Lions’ 38-10 loss to the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021.
POST-GAME NOTES
LIONS SCORING PLAYS

  • Second Quarter: QB Jared Goff threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to WR Kalif Raymond to cut the score to 14-7 with 12:31 remaining in the half. K Riley Patterson made the extra point.
  • Second Quarter: K Riley Patterson connected on a 36-yard field goal to bring the score to 14-10 with 6:34 left in the half.
    THE LIONS…
  • Produced eight players with a rush of 20-plus yards in a season, doing so for the first time since 1941 when the statistic was first tracked.
  • Have six players with a 25-yard rush, extending their League-lead on the season. It is the first time since 1969 that the Lions have had six players with a rush of 25 or more yards.
  • Recorded their 14th fourth-down conversion this year, the most fourth-down conversions in a single season in franchise history.
  • Tallied three fourth-down conversions on the day, tied for the second-most an opponent has had against the Broncos in a single game and the most since the Oakland Raiders also had three on Sept. 8, 2008.
  • Saw two rookie defensive linemen both notch a sack in a season for the first time since DE Anthony Zettel and DT A’Shawn Robinson did so in 2016.
    INDIVIDUAL NOTES
    QB JARED GOFF
  • Completed 24-of-39 passes for 215 yards and a touchdown, an interception and a 74.2 passer rating. He has now thrown a touchdown in three consecutive games.
    NT ALIM MCNEILL
  • Totaled four tackles (one solo) and his first-career sack for a loss of five yards.
    K RILEY PATTERSON
  • Connected on a 36-yard field goal, bringing his total to 4-for-4 on the season. He became the first rookie Lions kicker since K Eddie Murray in 1980 to make their first four field goals with the franchise.
    WR KALIF RAYMOND
  • Caught four passes for 31 yards (7.8 avg.) and a touchdown, extending his single-season career high to three touchdowns.
    RB CRAIG REYNOLDS
  • Ran 11 times for 83 yards (7.5 avg.) alongside two receptions for 16 yards.
  • His 7.5 rushing average is the highest for an undrafted Lions player in a single game in franchise history (min. 10 carries).
  • His rushing mark ties for the 11th-most in a single game for an undrafted Lions player and most since RB Zach Zenner (93) on Dec. 30, 2018 against the Green Bay Packers.
    WR JOSH REYNOLDS
  • Totaled three receptions for 52 yards (17.3 avg.), his third consecutive game with at least 50 receiving yards.
    WR AMON-RA ST. BROWN
  • Totaled eight passes for 73 yards (9.1 avg.).
  • Became the first Lions rookie to record seven receptions in back-to-back games in franchise history and became the first Lion to have three games with seven-plus receptions in their rookie season.
  • Tallied 70 receiving yards in consecutive games, the first Lions rookie to accomplish the feat since WR Roy Williams in Weeks 2-3 of 2004.
  • Recorded his third game with over 70 yards receiving this season, becoming the 10th rookie Lions player to do so and first since WR Titus Young in 2011.
    LB JOSH WOODS
  • Registered 13 tackles (10 solo), a quarterback hit and two tackles for loss. His 13 combined tackles are a single-game team high this season.
  • Became the first Lion to notch 13 tackles and two for a loss in a game since LB DeAndre Levy on Oct. 6, 2013 against the Green Bay Packers and sixth Lions player overall.
