The following are post-game notes from the Detroit Lions’ 30-12 victory over the Arizona Cardinals at Ford Field on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021.
POST-GAME NOTES
LIONS SCORING PLAYS

  • First Quarter: K Riley Patterson made a 37-yard field goal to give Detroit a 3-0 lead with 6:10 left in the quarter.
  • Second Quarter: QB Jared Goff threw a 37-yard touchdown pass to WR Amon-Ra St. Brown to extend Detroit’s lead to 10-0 with 14:53 left in the quarter. K Riley Patterson make the extra point.
  • Second Quarter: QB Jared Goff threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to WR Josh Reynolds with 19 seconds left in the half to push Detroit’s lead to 17-0. K Riley Patterson made the extra point.
  • Third Quarter: FB Jason Cabinda caught a six-yard pass from QB Jared Goff to extend Detroit’s lead to 24-3 with 8:10 left in the quarter. K Riley Patterson made the extra point.
  • Fourth Quarter: K Riley Patterson made a 47-yard field goal to give Detroit a 27-6 lead with 13:15 left in the quarter.
  • Fourth Quarter: K Riley Patterson made a 45-yard field goal to give Detroit a 30-12 lead with 2:46 left in the game.
    THE LIONS…
  • Had three different players each produce at least two pass defenses.
  • Now have over 1,500 rushing yards and a 4.5 team rushing average through the first 14 games of a season for the first time since 1998.
  • Held the Cardinals to three-and-outs on the first two possessions of the game for the first time this season.
  • Broke Arizona’s streak of consecutive road wins at seven.
  • Held Arizona to their fewest road points in a game since 2020.
  • Did not allow Arizona to score until their sixth possession of the game and did not allow an Arizona touchdown until their 10th possession.
    INDIVIDUAL NOTES
    FB JASON CABINDA
  • Produced his first-career NFL touchdown on a six-yard catch. Added two solo special teams tackles.
    o This marks his first touchdown since high school.
  • He became the first Lions fullback to produce a touchdown reception at Ford Field since FB Cory Schlesinger on Nov. 7, 2004.
    QB JARED GOFF
  • Completed 21-of-26 passes (80.8%) for 216 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions for a 139.7 passer rating, his highest as a Lion.
  • Has now produced multiple touchdown passes and a passer rating of 95.0-or-higher in three-straight home games.
  • His performance today marked only the sixth time in franchise history a quarterback has completed at least 80.0% of his passes and recorded three touchdown throws. The most recent game was in 2015, and the last time it happened at Ford Field was in 2011.
  • Has now won eight consecutive starts against the Cardinals.
  • Has now gone six-straight games against Arizona with a passer rating of 100.0-or-higher, the longest streak in NFL history against the club.
  • Has not thrown an interception in five-straight games against the Cardinals.
  • Now has seven touchdown passes of 20-or-more yards this season.
    OLB CHARLES HARRIS
  • Posted 12 total tackles (seven solo), 1.5 sacks and three tackles for loss.
  • Became the third player in franchise history to post a game with at least 10 tackles and 1.5 sacks, with the most recent coming in 2009.
  • Became the third player in franchise history to produce a season with at least 55 tackles, 7.5 sacks and two forced fumbles, joining Robert Porcher (1996, 1997) and Henry Thomas (1995).
    CB AMANI ORUWARIYE
  • Finished with five tackles (four solo), two pass defenses and one interception.
  • Posted his sixth interception of the season, extending his team lead and career high.
    o The last Lions player with three years of experience or less to post at least six interceptions in a season was CB Ray Crockett in 1991.
  • Now with nine interceptions in his career, he is tied for the 11th
    -most by a Lions cornerback.
    K RILEY PATTERSON
  • Finished three-of-three on field goals and three-of-three on extra points to produce 12 points scored on the day.
  • Became the first Lions rookie to make each of his first seven-career field goal attempts since K Eddie Murray in 1980.
  • Including extra points, has now made the first 15 kicks of his career.
    RB CRAIG REYNOLDS
  • Rushed 26 times for 112 yards (4.3 avg.) and caught one pass for five yards to total 117 scrimmage yards on the day.
  • Joined RB Billy Sims (1980) as the only players in franchise history to rush for at least 80 yards in each of their first two games with the team.
  • Has now produced 195 rushing yards in his first two games with the Lions, the second-most a player has had in their first two games with Detroit. RB Billy Sims owns the record with 287 rushing yards.
    WR JOSH REYNOLDS
  • Produced six receptions for 68 yards (11.3 avg.) and one touchdown, which came on a 22-yard reception.
  • Has now produced 50-or-more receiving yards in four-straight games.
  • Of his 16 receptions with the Lions, 12 have resulted in first downs (75.0%).
    WR AMON-RA ST. BROWN
  • Logged eight receptions for 90 yards (11.3 avg.) and one touchdown, which came on a 27-yard reception.
  • Now owns the record for the most receptions in a season by a Lions rookie (65). The previous record belonged to RB Jahvid Best, who had 58 in 2010.
  • Is the first Lions rookie to record at least eight receptions in three-straight games.
  • Is the third Lions rookie to post 70-or-more receiving yards in three-straight games, joining Earl McCullouch (1968) and Dorne Dibble (1951).
  • Became the first Lions rookie wide receiver to post at least 75 yards and a touchdown in the first half of a game since WR Germane Crowell in 1998.
  • Is the first Lions rookie to post at least 50 receiving yards and a touchdown in consecutive home games since WR Roy Williams in 2004.
  • Set a career high with 90 yards and with a long of 37 yards
