Detroit Lions Invade Raymond James Stadium In Tampa!

By: Jeremy T. Ballreich

On October 15th, 2023 at 4:25pm (due to the NFL Flexing their first game of the season) the Detroit Lions and their plethora of fans invade the home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I say this because Lions fans seem to filling even away stadiums at much of the Home Teams, in the NFL’s chagrin.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are sitting at 3-1 overall and lead their Divisional standings. The Detroit Lions are also a top the NFC North. Baker Mayfield seems to have found the fountain of youth channeling the play from his only successful year (2020).

They had quite a few players out to start the week, good thing they had they’re bye week. Mike Evans started to be limited in Praftice with a Hamstring injury, Luke Goedeke starting Guard as well. The rest of their MASH unit returned to full practice on Thursday.

Lions aren’t really leaking who’s hurt or not. Keeping things close to the vest.

AG mentioned glowing reviews about Brodric Martin’s growth against the 11st string Oline (Currently 2nd in the entire NFL) which should only prepare him better for play.

Amon-Ra St. Brown (The Sun God) he’s looking like he’s going to play and be fine.

Sam LaPorta has a calf strain and didn’t practice for a 2nd day in a row.

Jonah also didn’t practice on Thursday.

I personally don’t choose to play too close attention until Game Day.

Keys for the Defense:

Same Motto, stop the run and force them to be one dimensional.

Avoid Soft Zone Coverages with 1 high Safety playing. Baker carves those up. Especially if Mike Evans plays.

On Offense:

The Bucs live and die off of passing mistakes by QBs. But have gave up some yardage and TDs on the ground. Run it until the defense taps out in submission.
