The following are post-game notes and quotes from the Detroit Lions’ 28-19 loss to the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021.

LIONS SCORING PLAYS
First Quarter: QB Jared Goff threw a 63-yard touchdown pass to RB D’Andre Swift to take the 7-0 lead with 1 2:07 left in the quarter. K Austin Seibert made the extra point.
First Quarter: K Austin Seibert made a 37-yard field goal to extend the score to 10-0 with 7:28 left in the quarter.
Second Quarter: K Austin Seibert connected on a 47-yard field goal to bring the lead to 13-3 with 13:40 remaining in the half.
Second Quarter: K Austin Seibert made a 41 -yard field goal to cut the deficit to 17-16 with four seconds left in the half. Third Quarter: K Austin Seibert connected on a 31 -yard field goal with 1 left in the quarter.
TEAM NOTES
The Lions…
Recovered their second onside kick of the season.
Converted two fake punts (one rush, one pass), totaling 45 yards on those plays.
Allowed the Rams to record only 47 rushing yards, the fewest they have registered in a game since Nov. 23, 2020 (37).
Had two players total at least 95 receiving yards against the Rams for the first time since Chiefs TE Travis Kelce and WR Tyreek Hill in 2018. It was the first time a running back amassed at least 95 receiving yards against the Rams since Saints RB Alvin Kamara did so in 2017.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
RB D’ANDRE SWIFT
Recorded eight receptions for 96 yards (12.0 avg.) and a touchdown alongside 13 rushes for 48 yards.
Became the sixth Lions running back all-time to record at least 95 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown on the road, and first since RB Barry Sanders on Oct. 14, 1990 at Kansas City.
His 96 receiving yards were tied for the 10th-most for a running back in franchise history and most since RB Reggie Bush had 101 on Sept. 8, 2013. His receiving mark ranks as tied for the fifth-most for a running back on the road and most since RB James Stewart (97) on Dec. 2, 2001.
Hauled in a 63-yard touchdown reception, the fourth-longest in franchise history. He became the second running back in team history to log at least two touchdown receptions of 40-or-more yards.
Totaled 67 receiving yards in the first quarter, the second-most a Lions running back has totaled in the first quarter of a game.
Became the only Lions running back to have multiple games with eight receptions through 20-career games.
Registered his second-career game with over 140 scrimmage yards, becoming the sixth Lions running back to do so through 20-career games.
Became the eighth player in NFL history to accumulate at least 700 rushing yards, 700 receiving yards and 15 total touchdowns through 20-career games.
WR KALIF RAYMOND
Hauled in six receptions for 1 15 yards (19.2 avg.), the second game of his career with 100-plus receiving yards.
His 1 15 receiving yards are the eighth-most receiving yards by an undrafted player playing for the Lions in a single game and most since WR Mike Furrey (123) on Dec. 3, 2006.
QB JARED GOFF
Completed 22-0f-36 passes for 268 yards and a touchdown.
OLB JULIAN OKWARA
Combined for three tackles (two solo), a pass defensed and 1.0 sack for a loss of seven yards.
Notched the second sack of his career doing so in consecutive weeks, marking the first sack streak of his career.
Became the sixth Lions outside linebacker to record a sack and a pass defensed in a game and first since LB Christian Jones in
2019.
S C.J. MOORE
Picked up 28 yards on a fake punt, the second-longest rush by a defensive back in franchise history.
CB BOBBY PRICE
Became the second cornerback in franchise history to record a reception, hauling in a 17-yard pass on a fake punt.
P JACK FOX
Completed his first NFL pass for a 17-yard gain, becoming the first NFL punter to complete a pass this season. His 17-yard pass marked Detroit’s first by a punter since 2014 and the sixth-longest completion in franchise history by a punter.
K AUSTIN SEIBERT
Connected on 4-0f-4 field goals, doing so for the second time in his career and first since Nov. 3, 2019.
