2/27/2024 | Men’s Basketball INDIANAPOLIS – Johnell Davis of the Florida Atlantic men’s basketball team has been named to the 2023-24 Oscar Robertson Trophy and All-America Watch List, announced by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association on Tuesday. Davis is one of 40 players who will be considered a contender for National Player of the Year. The All-America team will be announced before the start of the men’s NCAA Tournament, while The Oscar Robertson Trophy winner for National Player of the Year is to be announced at the NCAA Men’s Final Four in Glendale, Ariz., from April 6-8. It is yet another well-deserved accolade for the junior guard from Gary, Indiana, who is a top 10 candidate for the Jerry West Award (given to the best shooting guard in the nation), top 20 candidate for the Wooden Award (given to the best player in Division I college basketball), and a is member of the Naismith Trophy Player of the Year Midseason Team.
