BOCA RATON, Fla. – Junior guard Johnell Davis of the No. 7 Florida Atlantic University men’s basketball team was named AAC Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.
The Owls achieved their highest AP ranked victory on Dec. 23 in Las Vegas, defeating No. 4 Arizona in double overtime by a score of 96-95. Davis finished the game with a season high of 35 points (tied for fifth most in a game in FAU history), 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.
After the stellar performance against the Wildcats, Davis is now a member of the Florida Atlantic 1,000 points club, now totaling 1,008 career points as an Owl.
