TAMPA, April 26, 2019 – USF sophomore Georgina Corrick held the Tigers scoreless in her ninth shutout this season, limiting Memphis to just one hit in USF’s 13thstraight win in The American.

USF (36-15, 14-2) got on the board in the first inning when senior Lindsey Devitt (Jacksonville, Fla.) led off with a hit-by-pitch. She stole second, advanced on a sacrifice bunt and scored when senior Macy Cook (Uniontown, Ohio) hit a bloop single to center field.

In the fifth inning, freshman Meghan Sheehan (Forest Hill, Md.) bunt singled and stole second. She advanced to third with Cook’s third hit of the game, a single through the left side. With one out, redshirt sophomore Bethaney Keen hit a sacrifice fly that scored Sheehan, but the Tigers turned a double play and got the runner out at second to end the frame.

Right-handed pitcher Corrick (Sanford, Fla.) held the Tigers without a hit through six full innings. She recorded her 21st win of the season with seven strikeouts and just one hit in the Bulls’ series opener against Memphis (22-27, 3-12).
