Coral Springs offers Back to Nature Program

The Coral Springs  Parks and Recreation Department has announced the beginning of its new Back to Nature program. Starting October 9, 2021, and every second Saturday of the month through March 2022, participants in the program will learn about wildlife, plant species and conservation while visiting various parks and preserves throughout Coral Springs.
 
Director Robert Hunter says, “We are always looking for ways to promote the outdoors, local parks and the city’s natural habitat, this informative program is a great opportunity to share information about our natural resources.”
 
Sessions will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the following dates and locations: 

  • October 9 – Tall Cypress Park (Nocturnal session; from 7 to 9 p.m.)
  • November 13 – Red Lichen Park
  • December 11 – Sandy Ridge Sanctuary
  • January 8 – Sawgrass Nature Center
  • February 12 – Community Garden/Food Forest
  • March 12 – The Atlantic Trailhead

The program is open to all ages. Space is limited to 10 people per group. Three groups will be available per date. Registration is required.
