Coral Springs Charter Girls Soccer Team is doing very well

The Coral Springs Charter Girls Soccer team earned a hard fought 4-3 victory over Flanagan High School. Anna Mariano scored three goals including the winning goal late in the game. Sabrina Basso scored one goal.

“I knew we needed to score to win the game. I was able to score with about a minute to play,” said Mariano.

The team has a 14-2-1 record and is nearing the end of the regular season. Next the Panthers will compete in the district playoffs and face increasingly strong teams. The Panthers have dominated many of their opponents during the season.

Team Captain Emily Kahler said she is proud of the team and said it feels good to win. “For me this is just playing soccer. For us to continue to win we will have to step it up,” she said.

Members of the Panthers Girls Soccer Team are accomplished athletes and many play on other teams. They also are successful academically and many are in leadership positions at the school.
