Conference USA Men’s Basketball Announces Bonus Play Schedule Bonus Play Ticket Offer

BOCA RATON, Fla. – (Feb. 16, 2020) – The Florida Atlantic University men’s basketball team’s Bonus Play schedule has been announced by the Conference USA office. Bonus Play games begin on Saturday, Feb. 22.

After the first 14 games of conference play, all 14 teams have been grouped into three “pods” where they will play their final four conference games against the other teams in their pods. The schedule includes two home games and two road games.

FAU, with a 6-8 C-USA record, enters Bonus Play as the No. 9 seed and is grouped in Pod 2 with UAB, Marshall, Old Dominion and UTSA.

“Our Bonus Play schedule gives us a chance to compete against four quality programs while also jockeying to improve our seeding for the C-USA tournament,” said head coach Dusty May.

The Owls’ first Bonus Play game is a rematch with UAB on Saturday, Feb. 22 at Abessinio Court at FAU Arena. The Blazers defeated FAU 68-65 in Boca Raton earlier this season. Tip-off for that game will be 7 p.m.

FAU welcomes UTSA back to Boca Raton on Thursday, Feb. 27. The Owls kicked off C-USA play with a 79-64 win over the Roadrunners on Jan. 2. That contest is slated for a 7 p.m. start

A pair of road games will round out the Bonus Play schedule, as the Owls travel to Old Dominion for a rematch with the Monarchs at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 1 before ending the regular season at Marshall on Wednesday, March 4 in a 7 p.m. tip. The Owls have a bye on Saturday, March 7, so they will not play again until the first round of the C-USA Championship on Wednesday, March 11 in Frisco, Texas.
