Conference USA Adds Jordan Stepp to Lead Communications Efforts

DALLAS – Conference USA announced the addition of Jordan Stepp as Assistant Commissioner of Communications on Wednesday.

“We’re very excited to add Jordan to our team,” said Conference USA Deputy Commissioner Brian Mackin. “His wide range of experience and background is going to help us continue to grow as a conference, and improve our ability to serve our member institutions.”

Stepp joins Conference USA following a five-year stint at the University of North Texas as the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications. While in Denton, he served as the primary communications contact for the Mean Green football program each of the past five seasons. Prior to his time at UNT, Stepp has additional collegiate experience at Cal, and in professional sports in the Arena Football League and Major League Soccer, with the San Jose SaberCats and San Jose Earthquakes, respectively.

Stepp will serve as Conference USA’s communications contact for both football and baseball. Additionally, he will oversee all of C-USA’s communications efforts as well as the basketball championships. He will serve as the conference’s national media contact and work closely with Commissioner Judy MacLeod on media opportunities to continue to benefit C-USA’s member institutions.
