Commencement Weekend for Gator Student-Athletes
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida Athletic Association celebrates the accomplishments of 31 Gator student-athletes who will walk across commencement stages this weekend. In addition, one receives a graduate certificate.

11 members of the 2022 summer graduation class were part of a national and/or conference championship team during their Gator careers.

23 earned Academic All-Southeastern Conference honors.

Summer commencement ceremonies begin Friday, Aug. 5 and runs through Saturday, Aug. 6.

Three were part of NCAA title teams during their careers:
2022 NCAA Outdoor Men’s Track & Field – Dedrick Vanover

2022 NCAA Indoor Women’s Track & Field: – Taylor Manson

2022 NCAA Outdoor Women’s Track & Field: Manson and Caitlan Tate

One won NCAA Individual titles:

  *   Will Davis – 2022 NCAA 200 medley and 200 free relays

More Summer Gator Grad Notables:

  *   Taylor Manson won 2020 Olympic bronze as part of the U.S. Mixed 4×400 relay team
  *   Eight earned All-America honors – Kirschtine Balbuena (swimming), Alyssa Baumann (gymnastics), Leah Braswell (swimming), Leah Clapper (gymnastics), Will Davis (swimming),  Taylor Manson (track & field), Caitlan Tate (track & field), Dedrick Vanover (track & field)
  *   Leah Clapper was a 2021 & 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-America At-Large selection. She was the 2021 Southeastern Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year for gymnastics.
  *   Five graduate with honors.
     *   Magna Cum Laude: Kirschtine Balbuena (swimming)
     *   Cum Laude: Leah Baswell (swimming), Paisley Eagan (lacrosse), Myreon Jones (basketball), Trent Whittemore (football)
  *   Seven receive master’s or doctorate degrees this weekend – Alyssa Baumann (gymnastics), Leah Clapper (gymnastics), Jazmyn Foberg (gymnastics), Leigh Lingo (lacrosse), Taylor Manson (track & field), Mattias Siimar (tennis), Asia Smith (track & field). In addition, Caitlan Tate receives a graduate certificate.
