BIRMINGHAM – UAB Women’s Soccer head coach Lisa Mann has announced that Chloe Kane will be the Blazers’ assistant coach.
“We are delighted to add Chloe to our coaching staff,” said Mann. “Chloe came very highly recommended by coaches we have great respect for. We have no doubt she will bring qualities that help elevate our program and players to higher levels as we transition into the AAC”.
Kane arrives in Birmingham after spending the last two years as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Smith College in Northampton, Mass. Throughout her time at Smith, she trained both field players and goalkeepers, assisted with recruiting and was involved in administrative aspects of the program. She will earn a Master’s in Exercise and Sport Studies in May 2023.
A native of Morecambe, England, Kane is a current member of the United Soccer Coaches 30 Under 30 program. She currently holds her D-License from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).
A 2021 graduate of Holy Cross College in Notre Dame, Ind, she played goalkeeper for the Saints and earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration. Prior to Holy Cross, Kane spent two years at Ancilla College in Plymouth, Ind., where she completed her associate’s degree in Sports Management and served as the Women’s Soccer team captain.
Kane has also coached at Michiana Echo Soccer Club in Indiana and worked as the Goalkeeper Coach for the Midwest Select Muskrats in their inaugural WPSL season in 2022.
