Chicago Bears (3-7) vs. Detroit Lions (7-2)

By: Jeremy T. Ballreich

The Bears have struggled mightily to get going with Justin Fields, yet he is trending to start this Sundays match up. Despite with Tyson Bagent being .500 with the teams in their wins the last 4 weeks. Fields was nursing an injury that time. I almost think this is a mistake (in my opinion) for the Bears. We’ve seen this story before in Detroit. It tends to bite teams in the toucas!

The Bears are just starting to use D’Onta Foreman well in the running game. Which essentially could help to open up some passing lanes for Fields. Who 5 weeks ago started to show improvement seeing the field. But, I think the Bears are trying to increase his value for a trade in the offseason. Because right now. They’re losing any trade before it happens. Which makes sense for draft capital. But not if you’re a team trying to claw out of division basement. Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson are back healthy.

The Lions with their league best RB tandem should be able to keep that train rolling. Last week against what should have been a great defense, they ran for 200 yards and 3 scores. Goff threw for a couple of more scores as well. Especially since the Lions have the better of the 2 Egyptian God Brothers at WR. This will also be the debut of Donovan Peoples-Jones to the field. When added with Josh Reynolds, Khaliff Raymond, and a starting emerge as WR Jameson Williams makes this Goffense more prolific really. DPJ is the contested catch guy with speed they hoped they were signing with Marvin Jones Jr.

Defensively, I expect a slobberknocker, as the wrestling announcers would say. I font normally predict a blowout. But something tells me, this will be the defenses week to shine.

If The Good Defense Shows Up
Chicago   14
Detroit     35

If The Bad Defense Shows Up
Chicago    27
Detroit      35

I cannot see Detroit losing this game either way!
