Carolina Panthers Get Mollywhopped In Detroit….With A Cost.

The Carolina Panthers came in with a defense that hadn’t allowed more than 30 points all year. The Detroit Lions said, “Hold my beer!”
We came out and scored right from rip and didn’t look back. We made a huge stop and forced a punt on their first drive, at a cost. Emanuel Moseley’s return lasted all of 2 snaps before he tore the ACL in the opposite knee he did on Monday Night Football with the 49ers when they faced…. you guessed it. The Carolina Panthers. Such a devastating injury he just returned from this week. But Jerry Jacobs is still doing his thing.
The Goods. The Lions had 3 rushing TDs and 3 passing TDs. 1 of those rushing TDs was from Goff. This is the first time the Lions have scored 30+ points in 4 consecutive games since 1954. They have held all 5 opponents to 342 rushing yards after 5 games. First time since 1939. The Lions are making history so far. And we the fans are eating it up. Even though we didn’t score in the 3rd quarter. Neither did the Panthers. It was probably our best 3rd quarter this season. But in Prevent defense in the 4th quarter. We let the Panthers score 2 garbage time TDs.

Aidan Hutchinson continues to dominate with a Sack and another INT.
Jerry Jacobs gets the other Interception while reading the play perfectly
Benito Jones forces a fumble and its recovered by Will Harris? Has there been a juxtaposition where Will Harris looks decent?
Will Harris had a key PBU in the end zone to force a FG. Wow!!!!
Offensively
Josh Reynolds had 8 catches with a TD
Sam LaPorta had another stellar performance
David Montgomery continues to prove he’s the better than Jamaal Williams back.
There wasn’t much to gripe about in this game. Except we went into prevent defense. But it was great to see Bridgewater take the victory kneel down at the end of the game.
