Career Suicide

BY RICK CURTI

Welcome To Ricks Rant’s. Today I will be talking about former Steelers stars Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell.

2 of the biggest superstars in the NFL today. Seems like every season or two you will see superstars demand trades and sometimes it will work out but most of the time it doesn’t and for these two it won’t work out? I believe these two have committed career suicide and there careers will never be the same again.

I guess it’s like the Jerry Maguire movie “show me the money”. I just can’t see Antonio getting along with Jon Gruden, who is a tough hands on coach and the inconsistent Derek Carr. He will complain he hasn’t gotten his catches and will also complain about his numbers. If he thought Big Ben Roethlisberger was a problem he hasn’t seen anything yet with the dysfunctional Raider organization. At least he will have a nice place to live when they move to Las Vegas, with no state income tax as well.

As for Le’Veon Bell this is all about the money. The New York Jets have been a laughing stock for many years in the NFL, with a unproven head coach in Adam Gase and a quarterback in Sam Darnold who looks like another NFL bust in my perception. This looks like a bigger train wreck than Bryce Harper signing with the Philadelphia Phillies. All I see is frustration from Antonio, another season of the Raiders missing the playoffs, Le’Veon Bell not rushing for 1,000 yards, and the Jets going 4-12?

I’m sad to say this because I do like both players but this will not end well and I see both demanding trades again.

Let me know what you think? Love to hear from you!
