LEXINGTON, Ky. – After a record-breaking season, Florida Atlantic beach volleyball’s Ashleigh Adams and Marketa Svozilova were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America Second Team on Wednesday.

The honor marks the first career AVCA honors for Adams and Svozilova, who become just the fifth and sixth players in program history to receive All-American honors, joining Erica Brok (2021, 2022), Mackenzie Morris (2021, 2022), Delaney Clesen (2016), and Gabrielle Dischler (2016).

The Sandy Owls’ No. 1 pair has had a record-breaking season, tying the program record for single-season pair wins with 25. Adams and Svozilova have dominated this season, earning nine ranked wins as a pair, including victories against No. 3 & No. 4 TCU, including earning a three-set win over TCU’s 2024 Paris Olympian pair of Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno, as well as No. 7 Florida State, No. 10 LSU, No. 13 Texas, No. 13 & No. 20 Georgia State, No. 14 Washington, and defeating No. 17 FIU twice.

Individually, Adams broke the program record for single-season wins (27) and the record for single-season flight one wins. Svozilova, who sits just one win behind Adams, is also now the second-winningest Sandy Owl in a single season with 26 wins.
