USF has three top-five finishes in the Spring

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., March 29, 2019 –
The USF women’s sailing team heads to Providence, R.I., for the Dellenbaugh Women’s Regatta hosted by Brown Saturday and Sunday.

The Bulls secured their third top-five finish of the Spring last weekend at the Duplin Women’s Team Race in Medford, Mass. Of the nine schools that competed, only two were not ranked in the top-10.

“This is a premier event,” said head coach Allison Jolly. “Of the top-10 ranked teams in the country, only two will not be competing this weekend. It is also the venue for the Women’s Team Race Nationals Invitational in two weeks, so this will be a good warm-up.”

  • Mild temperatures are expecting, with highs in the 50s and moderate-strong winds.

“If the winds increase as predicted, we have power crew freshman Chloe Sweeting available as well,” said Jolly.
