GESICKI SETS DOLPHINS TIGHT ENDS RECORD
• TE Mike Gesicki had the best statistical game of his career, leading the team and setting career highs with eight receptions for 130 yards (16.3 avg.). He also caught one touchdown.
• Gesicki’s 130 receiving yards is the most by a tight end in a single game in Dolphins history.
• The 130 receiving yards were the most by a tight end in the NFL regular season since Kansas City’s Travis Kelce and San Francisco’s George Kittle each had more on Dec. 15, 2019.
• It was the first 100-yard game of Gesicki’s career.
• Dating back to Miami’s Week 5 bye last season, Gesicki has caught 56 passes for 679 yards (12.1 avg.) and six touchdowns. Among NFL tight ends (at the end of the 1 p.m. games), his six touchdown receptions are tied for third and his 679 receiving yards are sixth.
• Gesicki hauled in an 8-yard touchdown from QB Ryan Fitzpatrick with 49 seconds remaining to cut the score to 31-26. A 2-point conversion made it a 3-point game.


FITZPATRICK TOPS 300 YARDS
• QB Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 300-plus yards for the 22nd time in his NFL career today. He completed 31-of-47 passes (65.9 percent) for 328 yards and two touchdowns.
• Fitzpatrick has now thrown for 300 yards in three of his past four games dating back to last season.
• Fitzpatrick now has nine 300-yard passing games after his 35th birthday, which is tied for the 15th-most in NFL history.


HOWARD SCORES HIS 32ND CAREER RUSHING TOUCHDOWN
• RB Jordan Howard had a 2-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter to give Miami a 20-17 lead. It was his second touchdown in as many weeks since he joined the Dolphins this offseason. • Howard has 32 rushing touchdowns in his career. That total is sixth in the NFL since he entered the league in 2016.
• Howard made the 50th start of his NFL career today.


PARKER PUTS MIAMI ON THE BOARD IN THE FIRST QUARTER
• WR DeVante Parker caught a 2-yard touchdown pass from QB Ryan Fitzpatrick with 38 seconds remaining in the first quarter to tie the game at 7.
• It was Parker’s ninth receiving touchdown since the team’s Week 5 bye last year. Entering today’s games, Parker’s eight receiving TDs were tied for third-most in the NFL in that span.


SANDERS HITS FROM 52 YARDS AT END OF FIRST HALF
• K Jason Sanders hit a 52-yard field goal with 2 seconds remaining of the first half to make it a one-score game at 17-10.
• The Dolphins got the ball at their own 25-yard line with 33 seconds left and one timeout and proceeded to string together a 5-play, 41-yard drive leading to Sanders’ field goal.
• Sanders is now 5-for-7 (71.4 pct.) from 50-plus yards in his career. His 71.4 percentage is seventh in the NFL since he entered the NFL in 2018 (min. 5 attempts).
• Sanders also connected on a 45-yard field goal in the third quarter. His 83.0 career field goal percentage is the best in Dolphins history.
• Sanders topped 200 career points with his kicks today.


FORD TIES CAREER HIGH
• WR Isaiah Ford tied his career high with seven receptions for 76 yards today. He also had seven receptions on Dec. 29, 2019 at New England.
• Ford has now totaled 30 receptions for 324 yards (10.8 avg.) in his past six games dating back to last year.


VAN NOY FORCES FUMBLE IN FIRST QUARTER
• LB Kyle Van Noy forced Miami’s second fumble of the season, chasing down Buffalo TE Dawson Knox and stripping the ball on a 38-yard play.
• Rookie CB Noah Igbinoghene recovered the fumble for the first turnover of his NFL career.
