Big Ten Announces 2020 Michigan Football Schedule 3.0

ROSEMONT, Ill. — The Big Ten Conference announced Saturday (Sept. 19) an 8-game conference only schedule for the 2020 football season, starting Oct. 24, and culminating with a ninth game for each school during Big Ten Championship Week (Dec. 19). The conference announced the return of the season on Wednesday (Sept. 16) after suspending the season on Aug. 11.

Michigan will begin the season with a trophy game battle, traveling to Minnesota for its rivalry match-up for the Little Brown Jug on Oct. 24, and end the eight-game regular season slate with “The Game” against Ohio State in Columbus on Dec. 12. The Wolverines will have additional road games at Indiana (Nov. 7) and Rutgers (Nov. 21).

The first home game, a week after the season opener at Minnesota, will feature the in-state rivalry for the Paul Bunyan Trophy as Michigan hosts Michigan State on Oct. 31. The Wolverines are scheduled to play games against Wisconsin (Nov. 14), Penn State (Nov. 28) and Maryland (Dec. 5) at the Big House.

The Big Ten has enacted a policy where all games will be played without fans. Information regarding game times and TV network selection will be forthcoming as it becomes available from the conference.
