GAME DAY FAN INFORMATION

BEARS VS. JAGUARS – SUNDAY, DEC. 27

Fans are invited to TIAA Bank Field on Sunday, Dec. 27 to see the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Chicago Bears in their final home game of the season.  The matchup kicks off at 1 p.m. and will be broadcast regionally by CBS, locally on WJAX, and on radio on WJXL (1010AM, 92.5 FM) and 99.9 FM Gator Country. This week’s game is presented by TIAA Bank.

TIAA Bank Field will be open for a limited capacity crowd on Sunday, and tickets are still available at www.jaguars.com/tickets. Fans watching from home can also tune in to Jags@Home, a second screen viewing experience that gives fans a way to connect with the team on game day and take home cash prizes.

FAN APPRECIATION GAME

The Jaguars will celebrate the spirit of DUUUVAL during the team’s annual fan appreciation game on Sunday afternoon.  Season ticket members will appear on the video boards to introduce the starting lineups.  There will be hundreds of giveaways throughout the game featuring autographed memorabilia and prizes from Jaguars partners including EA Sports, Daily’s, Whataburger and Gate.  SimplyIOA will give away a pair season of tickets for the 2021 season and Fanatics stores at TIAA Bank Field will feature 40 percent off select merchandise and headwear.

FAN OF THE YEAR

Moments before kickoff, the traditional First DUUUVAL, presented by Duval Motor Company, will be delivered in person by Danika Mitchell, the Jaguars nominee for NFL Fan of the Year.  A Jaguars fan since seventh grade at duPont Middle School, Mitchell is a long-time season ticket member and known as the team’s greatest defender on local and national sports talk radio.  As the Jaguars nominee, she’ll receive premium seats to the game and custom “Fan of the Year” apparel. The NFL will be narrowing down the 32 nominees to eight finalists and three will receive the opportunity to go to Super Bowl LV in Tampa Bay. IN-GAME ENTERTAINMENT

This week’s national anthem will be performed virtually by the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Music Conductor Courtney Lewis.  A halftime holiday concert will include two virtual performances, beginning with 23-year-old Jekalyn Carr, a four-time GRAMMY® Award nominee and GMA Dove Award-winning recording artist.  As a top selling independent recording artist, Carr earned seven career Billboard No. 1s before the age of 21, which includes her hit singles, “You’re Bigger” and “You Will Win.”  Carr will be followed by an additional holiday performance featuring the Don’t Miss a Beat All-Stars, an elite group of talented students that perform locally, nationally and internationally.   Don’t Miss A Beat, Inc., was founded in Jacksonville on the belief that the arts can be a bridge to a better life for underserved children.

COMMUNITY AND MILITARY HONOREES

During Sunday’s game, the Jaguars will honor Petty Officer 1st Class David Smith as the Veteran of the Game presented by Dr. Patrick Basile.  In his 14 years of service to the U.S. Navy, Smith completed four deployments including two to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.  In 2019, he was a finalist for Sailor of the Year at Naval Air Station Jacksonville.

As the game enters the fourth quarter, the Navy Mutual Bell Ringer will be Staff Sgt. Debra Cook of the 107th Military Public Affairs Detachment of the Florida Army National Guard in St. Augustine.  Cook has served as a guardsman for 12 years, including service at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and in Washington, D.C.

The TIAA Bank Community Champion of the Game for Week 16 is Sherrie Porter who in 2012 founded Hunger Fight in 2012 with a goal to end hunger and illiteracy through the provision of nutritious meals and books to children, seniors and families in need by informing, engaging and mobilizing communities and partners.

The Jaguars have recognized a Farah & Farah Frontline Workers during each game in 2020 as a salute to the healthcare workers and first responders who have supported the community’s health and wellbeing during the COVID-19 crisis.  This week’s honoree is David Queisser, a Jaguars fan and owner of Sanibel Delivery in southwest Florida, who went above and beyond to his Sanibel Island neighbors deemed high risk to pick up and deliver groceries, prescriptions and other essential items.

JAGS@HOME

For fans who can’t be in the stadium this year due to COVID-19, the Jaguars have introduced Jags@Home, a second screen viewing platform designed to complement the game-watching experience and give fans watching from home an all-new way to connect with the team.  On game day, fans can visit www.jagsathome.com on their computer, tablet or mobile device and get bonus analysis, statistics and traditional game day content.  Jags@Home is hosted by Jaguars Digital Reporter and Host Ashlyn Sullivan and social media influencer Eric V. Dunn.

This week, fans joining Jags@Home, have the chance to win a variety of prizes by participating in live trivia and predictive gaming.  Up to $2,500 in cash prizes is given away every quarter and this week Jags@Home will include a suite giveaway challenge. Fans 21 years of age or older and within 30 miles of the stadium also have the chance to win an in-game home delivery of Bud Light, tailgate supplies and an autographed Jaguars jersey.

PROMOTING FAN HEALTH

The Jaguars and all stadium partners have created a contactless experience for the limited capacity crowd attending games at TIAA Bank Field this season.  Accommodations include physically-distanced parking, new security screening and ticket-scanning procedures, cashless concessions, mobile ordering and pod seating.  In addition, the Jaguars have added more than 750 hand-sanitizing stations throughout the venue, and certified disinfection specialists are at the stadium on game day cleaning all high touchpoint areas with hospital-grade disinfectant. TIAA Bank Field has also transitioned to a smoke-free facility beginning with the 2020 season. For complete details on stadium preparations, please visit www.jaguars.com/stadium

KEY FAN REMINDERS:

Here are some key reminders for fans during the 2020 season:

  • Fans should not come to the stadium if they have COVID-19, are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, cough or shortness of breath, or know they’ve been exposed to COVID-19.
  • Face coverings are required at TIAA Bank Field and strongly encouraged in all parking lots.  Fans will be required to wear face coverings upon entry and throughout the stadium except when actively eating or drinking. Fans will receive consistent reminders about the need to mask up and support the team on Sunday.
  • Tailgating is strongly discouraged.
  • Fans should still use the Official Jacksonville Jaguars app to access their secure digital tickets on game day, which feature a dynamic barcode to prevent screenshots or counterfeit tickets.  Fans can still conveniently transfer tickets to friends or family via email or text using their mobile device.
  • The NFL’s clear bag policy is in effect at TIAA Bank Field.  Fans are encouraged to leave all bags at home, but, if one is necessary, it should be either a clear bag no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”, or a non-clear bag no larger than 4.5” x 6.5.” Strict size enforcement will be in place for all non-clear bags.
  • Thanks to Alert Today Florida, fans riding their bikes to Jaguars home games can take advantage of free, secure parking. Jaguars fans can park their bikes as early as three hours before kickoff by visiting the bicycle check-in tent located between Gates 1 and 2 on the west side of TIAA Bank Field.
