BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University’s baseball team split its doubleheader with Saint Leo University on Saturday, notching its second consecutive Sunshine State Conference (SSC) series victory, 2-1.

STATS OF THE GAME:

Game One·       Byron Murray had five RBI, including a grand slam, adding a run scored.·       Misael Castillo scattered seven hits in 6.0 innings, striking out five.  

Game Two·       Joseph Encarnacion hit a three-run homer in the sixth and finished 2-for-4 with a run scored.·       Anthony Sanabria started in left field and was 2-for-3 with a run scored. ·       Chris Mormile (3-0) went 6.0 innings and allowed just two unearned runs, striking out two.·       Jake Buxbaum picked up his second save of the season for Lynn, pitching a scoreless ninth. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE: ·       Lynn had 27 combined hits in two wins over the Lions.·       Murray’s five RBI are a career-high. ·       Trevor Romeo is currently on a 17-game hit streak.
