BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University’s baseball team slugged its way past Tusculum University on Sunday afternoon, downing the Pioneers 16-13.

STATS OF THE GAME:
· Joseph Encarnacion paced the Fighting Knight attack with two grand slams, going 3-for-4 with three runs scored and eight RBI.
· Byron Murray also hit a grand slam, finishing the day with four RBI and two walks.
· Trent Sinkfield was solid at the plate again, knocking out three hits and scoring two runs.
· Luis Beltran hit a solo homer and had two RBI.· Liam O’Regan also launched a solo shot, his second in his first three games.
· Lynn took a 16-1 lead after six, but a feisty Tusculum squad battled back with 12 runs in the final three innings.
· Misael Castillo (1-0) started for Lynn and earned the victory, going 4.0 innings and surrendering just two hits while striking out three.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
· All 16 of Lynn’s runs came in two innings, the fourth and the sixth.
· This is the first time in Lynn history that four grand slams have been hit in the same game.
· Encarnacion hit .445 on the weekend, slugging three homers and racking up 10 RBI.
