BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University baseball has its first midweek action of the young season on Tuesday, traveling west to take on Florida Gulf Coast at 6:30 p.m.

Owls’ Weekend in Review
The Owls (2-1) took the opening weekend series over nationally-ranked UCF in three high-scoring affairs, winning the first two, one in Orlando and one in Boca Raton. Freshmen Nolan Schanuel and Caleb Pendleton each had eight RBI in the set, with Schanuel registering a team-high .533 batting average. Each hit their first collegiate home runs, with Pendleton’s coming in his first two at-bats, both grand slams, in the same inning.

Owls’ Midweek in Preview
FGCU (3-0) swept UCF in a split series of their own, with a doubleheader Saturday in Tampa, and home win on Sunday to complete the sweep. The 2019 ASUN regular season champions were voted third in the league’s 2021 preseason poll, with two Eagles chosen to the All-ASUN Preseason Team, third baseman Richie Garcia and pitcher Mason Studstill. Studstill was the only unanimous choice and was also voted Preseason Pitcher of the Year.
